So, summers gone, and those warm sultry days have given way to misty, cooler autumnal weather. The upside is that we can now roll out all those comforting stews and casseroles, pies and pastries!
Our autumn/winter courses embrace all of the above and lots more, Indian, vegetarian, and even mediterranean and middle eastern to recreate and reminisce about the food of our summer holidays.
Another popular offering is the She/He’s Leaving Home course for students about to head off to university. The course teaches them ‘store cupboard, budget cooking’ so they can cook up some quick, simple meals for themselves when they leave home for the first time.
Christmas always creeps up and catches us unaware, but our courses will help you get ahead and fill the larder with delicious home made goodies.
The school also runs popular Cook & Dine evenings where a small group of people get together to create a six-course meal. Cooks can participate as much as they feel comfortable with so it’s suitable for total novices too. The cooks also invite along a guest or too to share their spoils at the end of the evening.
The school also offers cookery courses and parties for children, including the popular ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ sessions, which are a great way to keep your little ones amused over the summer holidays and beyond. Children learn how to cook simple, interesting dishes in a fun workshop that they’ll love to tell their friends about.
There are also regular courses for adults on topics such as Beginner’s, Vegetarian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Classic French cookery.
